Staff and students

  • All Staff have education degrees, have training in First Aid / CPR, and speak Japanese / English.
  • Students are from 3 years to 6 years old.
  • Student-teacher ratios between 8 - 1 and 12 - 1
 

Entrance age qualification

Children born from April 1, 2000 to November 30, 2003
NOTE:   child must be toilet trained before enrolling.

Class groups

We have 2 main classrooms, with one younger group (ages 3 - 4 1/2) and one older group (ages 4 - 6)

Class Schedule

There are plans for 2 days' attendance through 5 days' attendance (see TUITION below).

The daily schedule is from 9AM through 2:30PM, with after school care available.

Please attach the registration fee ($50) along with the entrance application, and send to the following address:

After this has been completed, a Himawari Preschool representative will contact you to schedule an orientation and entrance evaluation interview.

<Method of payment>

General Info Tuition Rates Payment Info

There are 4 tuition payments per calendar year, due on or before the start of the next quarter.  We will notify all parents of the scheduled due dates, which are posted on the calendar.  Students enrolling in the middle of a quarter will not have to pay for days prior to their enrollment, but will be assessed an additional $25 mid-quarter enrollment fee.

If a registering family has more than 1 child enrolled, the registration fee of the additional children will be at 1/2 cost ($25.00).

Also, please note that there is a $30 materials fee per school year.

In the case of a student being absent for an extended period due to illness or injury, please submit a certificate of a doctor.  Tuition fees will be reassessed in consultation with the director.

Throughout the year, we have field trips and special events, some of which will require extra fees for parents (higher fees if the event is not during that child's regular enrollment schedule).

The Registration and Materials Fees are non-refundable.
